David Liebman Big Band Appearing In New York :November, December and January

Saxophonist David Liebman has formed a big band consisting of some of New York's finest musicians, conducted by Gunnar Mossblad. The repertoire consists of all Liebman original compositions covering his thirty year career as a bandleader and arranged by various musicians including Vince Mendoza, Bill Dobbins, Ed Sarath, Jim McNeely and others. Performances will take place at the following venues in New YOrk City: The Knitting Factory on November 3 and 4;Birdland on December 29 and 30;at the IAJE COnvention in the Trianon Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel, 11:00PM on Friday,January 12th.
