BEWARE! If you are an independent artist, producer of CD's,there is a conspiracy to rip you off bigtime! A chain of several well known retail stores that sell CD's to the public have an ongoing program to “invite independent artists" to have their CD's distributed nationwide to several chains of retail stores. Sounds good right! In order to get your CD into their stores they refer you to their website where they ask you to pay $99.00 to have your CD reviewed by so called “industry experts". If you are a sucker, you pay the sum of $99.00 and get their review of your submitted CD. Legally, they reviewed your CD, and for this charged you $99.00 for a worthless piece of paper they call a “review", NO gurantee of anything! It is also noted that these rip off people also manufacture CD's which is a conflict of interest. Not only do they have a free sample of your CD, that you sent to them in the hopes of national distribution, they can counterfeit it also and sell it overseas well out of reach of law enforcement authorities! At this time, the names of the people and organization involved can NOT be named. However, it is always a good idea to research and know the people who you are dealing with-and get it in writing (contract). If anyone asks for money in advance.........a red flag should go up-do not get ripped off with your hard earned money! BEWARE!
