The first annual Canadian National Jazz Awards were presented on February 24. Diana Krall won three awards, which is not surprising given the populist turn her music has taken.
The highlight of the evening was the induction of Oscar Peterson into the Canadian Jazz and Blues Hall of Fame. He was followed by Moe Koffman, Dutch Mason and Jackie Washington. Peterson was also bestowed the first-ever B
