Avishai Cohen and The International Vamp Band have recorded their first release for the Stretch Records titled UNITY. The ensemble, lead by Cohen, features players from four countries: from Israel Avi Lebovich on trombone and flute, trumpeter Diego Urcolo from Argentina, acoustic bassist Yagil Baras from Israel, drummer Antonio Sanchez from Mexico, and from Cuba, Yosvany Terry on saxophones. Avishai Cohen plays the piano and electric bass on eleven original compositions which he composed, arranged and produced.

Cohen is the widely acclaimed acoustic bassist in Chick Corea's New Trio and has three previous releases on the Stretch Records label, titled ADAMA, DEVOTION and COLORS. Those recordings feature Avishai Cohen's visions brought to fruition with quintets and sextets comprised of such great players as pianist Jason Lindner, saxophonist Jimmy Greene, trombonist Steve Davis, drummer Jeff Ballard, and oud/guitarist Amos Hoffman.
