Announcing Innovative New Arts Education Curriculum Frameworks for Manitoba Schools

The Alliance for Arts Education in Manitoba is pleased to join Honourable Peter Bjornson, Minister of Education, Citizenship and Youth to announce new curricula in Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts

The Alliance for Arts Education in Manitoba (AAEM) is pleased to join with Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth to announce the launch of new Arts Curricula for Manitoba Elementary Schools.

Grade 2 students of Constable Edward Finney School will help us celebrate this significant moment for arts education renewal in Manitoba with a performance especially created for this event.

Minister Bjornson will make an announcement about new provincial curricula for elementary schools in Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts. Professor Liz Coffman (Faculty of Education, University of Manitoba) will speak on behalf of the AAEM, commenting on the significance of arts curriculum renewal for all Manitoba schools.

The Alliance for Arts Education in Manitoba represents educators, community arts organizations and concerned citizens dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding of the benefits of learning in and through the arts.
