Zyanna Melada

Anna Meyer “Zyanna” is a Portland and Los Angeles jazz and contemporary arranger, vocalist and bassist. She recently was featured on two of George Colligan’s recent projects “The Phyllis Wheatley Project” (2023) & “You’ll Hear it” (2024). Zyanna briefly lived in Los Angeles and collaborated with Astral Voyage - an International funk & soul collective. She released her first solo EP project “Soul Angel” (2023) featuring local Los Angeles artists. In August of 2023, she became a vocalist with the Grammy-Winning Los Angeles Vocal Ensemble “Tonality”.

Zyanna became a bandleader for her trio in 2024 and has found success as a jazz/contemporary electric bassist. Her trio is a blend of is R&B classics, Jazz Standards and Originals with influences of hip hop, spoken word & experimental art rock. Her recent project “Dance of the Dragonfly”, released October 2024, features local Portland Musicians and Los Angeles saxophonist and creator, Nicole McCabe. Zyanna will be releasing a new project featuring Portland and New York musicians in 2026.
