Tyler Evans

Tyler Evans has been playing around the NJ, PA area since 2009. A recent graduate of Lehigh University with a BA in Music and English Literature, Tyler dove into the field of music as an educator and performer. He's studied and performed with Bass and Buisness master Gene Perla, the trumpeter and arranger Bill Warfield, and the NJ guitar master Vic Juris, as well as guitar guru Larry Barbee. Tyler's bands feature a free sense of interpretation within Jazz Standards; featured composers Including Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Miles Davis just to name a few. Free Improvisation is a staple in Tyler's aesthetic, but his bands can tailor themselves to any room - consider booking Tyler for artistic integrity, and a performance of the utmost maturity.
