The Hot Toddies Jazz Band

THE HOT TODDIES JAZZ BAND are a fun-loving hot jazz & swing band from NYC. They have an eclectic mix of styles perfect for dancing, lindy hop, and good times!

As a relatively new group (thanks to the pandemic!), they are becoming a fast-rising band on the swing scene — performing most recently at Prohibition Production’s sold-out Mardi Gras, the 2022 Cornell University Swing Weekend, and at The Back Room…NYC’s last Prohibition-era speakeasy. Future engagements include the 2022 International Lindy Hop Championships (ILHC) on May 30th, and weekly performances at Somewhere Nowhere’s “Gotham Jazz” starting May 11th.

The band has performed around New York City at top venues, such The Plaza Hotel, The Public, The Players Club, The Montauk Club, The Standard, Elsie Rooftop, Cambria Rooftop, The Secret Room, Watermark, and Bierhaus NYC. And at private events for clients, such as The Red Cross, The Public Hotel, BNI, and Mann Investments. They've also played countless VIP nightclub openings, special events, corporate events, and holiday functions.

With the release of The Hot Toddies' 2021 debut EP, their wacky music videos for "Dunkin Bagel" and “Five O’clock Coffee” both hit over 100k views on Facebook, while the band also has several videos with over 10k views on YouTube. The group often plays as a sextet plus one or two singers but comfortably adapts as needed.

Led by Grammy-nominated GABE TERRACCIANO (Turtle Island String Quartet, Avalon Jazz Band) and noted composer & producer PATRICK SOLURI (Gordon Webster Band), the band features some of the top musicians in the swing & jazz worlds including JUSTIN POINDEXTER (Jazz at Lincoln Center), DAN LEVINSON (Mel Torme, Woody Allen, The Aviator, Boardwalk Empire), RON WILKINS (Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gilespie), plus noted vocalists QUEEN ESTHER (James “Blood” Ulmer), and HANNAH GILL (Postmodern Jukebox), as well as special guest pianist GORDON WEBSTER.
