Free Men in the Band is a jazz trio formed by pianist Mateusz Dymek, bassist Maciej Szczudło, and drummer Michał Obrok. Their name, inspired by Jerome K. Jerome’s Three Men in a Boat, reflects the group’s idea of a shared musical journey.

The trio combines the warmth of classic jazz with funk, free jazz, and modern influences. Their performances are driven by melodic clarity, energetic improvisation, and an engaging, playful spirit.
