SE Kim

Born in 1983, guitarist Sung-Eun (SE), Kim began playing guitar when he was around 15. Just like many other guitarists, he was first exposed to the music of rock and blues and later to all other types of music that you can find in this world, and then he became very interested in studying jazz. After finishing high school, he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. Since his Berklee days, he has been active in performing gigs around Boston area and soon after graduation he moved to New York to attend NYU. Upon his transition, he studied or shared the stage with enormous jazz icons such as John Scofield, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, and George Garzone to name a few. SE Kim has played at venues such as The Blue Note, Cachaca, The Desmond Tutu Center, Plaza Hotel, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, etc. SE Kim has relocated to Seoul, South Korea since 2010 where he continues to push forward in his musical journey.
