Ron DiCesare

Ron DiCesare is a drummer, recording engineer, and producer born in Rochester, NY. He starting playing drums at age 7 and had his first professional gig at age 12. He attended the University of Miami School of Music and moved to the New York City area after graduating college.

While in New York, Ron quickly became involved in recording technology and started working on Pro Tools when it was first available in 1991. Concentrating mostly on music and sound for TV and radio commercials for more than 20 years, Ron enjoys mixing and producing jazz albums whenever possible.

His past work has been mixing for keyboardist and producer, Barry Miles on the Coleman Mellett tribute album (still unreleased) featuring Chuck Mangione, Steve Gadd, Will Lee, Larry Goldings, and James Taylor. Ron's TV commercial credits include working with Randy Brecker, Mike Mainieri, Grady Tate, Aaron Neville, Lisa Loeb, Chris Botti, Mark Ledford, Gil Goldstein, and John Popper of Blues Traveler.

Ron's current project is producing and mixing 90 year old pianist Marty Napoleon's first album in decades called "Swingin' at 90." In addition to producing and engineering the album, Ron is playing drums, vibraphone, bongos, vocoder, all programming, and arranging. The line up is:
