Pimp My Jazz

Pimp My Jazz, originally 7-piece and now a 4/5-piece band, was launched on Sunday June 19 2011 at the Load of Hay pub, Villier Street, Uxbridge - off Cleveland Road, near Brunel University. Despite the tube strike, there was good support from an appreciative audience. Some said they could not believe it was our debut. The band appeared briefly at the Ealing Jazz Festival in July 2011.

In August they performed at the Half Moon, Harrow, and the Angel, Hayes. Pimp My Jazz returned to the Load of Hay in November, fronted by Lonette Charles (vocals) and Gavin Sparks (rhythm guitar, vocals and original songwriter).

In 2012, the band played in Rickmansworth in late January and in Ealing and Uxbridge in February. A birthday gig in Balham followed in early March and a wedding gig in May. In June, Pimp My Jazz was the headline act at the very successful Yiewsley Carnival.
