Paul Albrecht

Paul Albrecht, born in 1996, is an incredibly talented and sought-after musician, recognized as one of the most promising young drummers in Germany. Performing under the artist name Paulbright, he leads his own band, the Paulbright Experience. In 2021, shortly after its formation, the band won the most significant jazz newcomer award in Germany, "Future Sounds 2021."

He gained early recognition and support from renowned companies like DW Drums, Paiste Cymbals, GEWA Drums, SE Electronics, and Meinlstickandbrush. In 2021, he graduated with honors from the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Previously, Paul Albrecht had been admitted as a young student to the Stuttgart music conservatory at the age of 16.

Paul Albrecht's versatility and abilities allowed him to collaborate with various artists and bands. He toured and recorded as a drummer for the artist Schmyt and is a founding member of the highly regarded band, The Jakob Manz Project. Throughout his career, Paul Albrecht won several music awards, including the Young German Jazz Prize with Big Spider, the International Jazz Prize Biberach with The Jakob Manz Project (2018), and Future Sounds with both The Jakob Manz Project (2018) and the Paulbright Experience. From 2019 to 2021, he was also the drummer for the national youth Jazz orchestra of Germany

Paul's musical strengths lie in his deep groove, captivating stage presence, precision, musicality and advanced drumming technique. His talents extend beyond drumming, as he is also a proficient producer who writes, records, and performs his own compositions. Paul Albrecht's influence and expertise have led him to collaborate and perform with a variety of artists such as Schmyt, Rin, Max Gerl, Big Yuki, Beka Gochiashvili, Majan, Michael Gibs, Jeff Beal, Matthias Schriefl, and many others.

His contributions to the drumming community have been recognized by drumming magazines, leading to drumming workshops at prominent events like the Berlin Drum Days, the Dresden Drum and Bass Festival, and the International Drum Festival in Mannheim. His captivating performances and musical contributions have solidified his position as one of Germany's most successful young drummers, and his future endeavors promise to further establish his reputation as an outstanding musician and artist.
