Daniele Cavalca was born in Montecchio Emilia (RE) on 8thOctober 1987.He began to play drums when he was six years old at themusic school ofPraticello di Gattatico. In 2001 he attended the Conservatoryduring the HighSchool period in Parma.Since 2006 he frequents the class of percussion of the“AccademiaInternazionale della Musica” in Milan, where he studiesdisciplines of classicalmusic under the guidance of David Searcy, Jonathan Scullyand Mike Quinn; inthe meantime he improves his drums studies with MarcoVolpe. In march2008 he graduated with full marks at the “A. Peri”Conservatory of ReggioEmilia , studying as a private student. Since January 2010he’s studying at theBerklee College of Music in Boston as a “Full Time” student,after he won thescholarship during the Berklee Five-week SummerPerformance Program fromJuly to August 2009. Since 2007 he plays in the DA-DA-DANG band, that is avery popular marching band of drummers of Italy. 2008-2009:he plays asdrummer in some “operetta” companies. Severalcollaborations aspercussionist and tympanist in many Opera’s seasons. Haveto remember:2005-2006: “Manon Lescaut”, performed in Parma, RegioTheatre ;2006-2007: “Madama Butterfly”, Ilmar Lapinsch conductor;performed inPegognaga (MN)2007: “Carmina Burana”, performed in Milan (Dal VermeTheatre) and inBologna (Real Collegio di Spagna).2009: “West Side Story”, Wayne Marshall conductor;performed inMestre(Venice), Rome and L’Aquila.
2008-2009: He records as a drummer, percussionist andbass player in thealbum “Color Of Red Island”, the latest album of ClaudioScolari.
Since 1995 he plays drums and vibraphone in many rockbands and jazzensembles with which he performs in northern Italy. From2007 to 2009 herecorded Pop-rock albums as a Drummer with differentsongwriters in thearea of Reggio Emilia and Modena.
