Marcell Gudics

Marcell began to play the drums at the age of 9, studying classical percussion for four years
before moving back to the drum kit. He continued his studies in jazz, graduating from a jazz
college in his native country of Hungary where he studied with internationally renowned
drummer Péter Szendőfi.

Thanks to his solid groove, tasteful chops and impeccable timekeeping skills, Marcell is an in-
demand session player in Hungary and beyond. In addition to taking care of drumming
duties in the Billboard-charting pop-jazz-funk band the Peet Project (with whom he played at
major US jazz festivals several times), he has toured and recorded with several high-profile
local jazz and pop acts on a regular basis, including the band TNT that regularly fills arenas.

Marcell currently tours with guitar legend Frank Gambale.

Gudics Twins, the duo project he launched with twin brother Martin is a true gem and a
magnet for discerning jazz fusion fans and lovers of virtuoso instrumental music all over the
world.
