Maggie Parke

Maggie Parke is a vocalist born in Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A., she has lived most of her life in Europe, but travels to the U.S.A. frequently to work and to spend time with her family.

Maggie is no newcomer to the music scene. She was lead singer and co-writer in the 80's band Parc Cafe, has written and performed several songs that have been European film title tracks, contributed songs to European T.V. series, written the libretto for and performed in the Modern Opera "Smalltime" to sold out crowds, and co-written and produced songs for other artists.

She considers herself basically a writer. Her new and long awaited album, EVER, was released on February 2006, is her strongest work to date. 14 tracks that each are as individual as she is. Combining the roots of classic rock with the input of jazz and even a seasoning of dance, this album has a sound that is new and vibrant. From the ethnic instruments used as hip hop beats in "Roll with the Punches" to the intimate guitar and voice on "Helpless in Your Hands" this album is a feast for the ears. With over a hundred songs to her name in many different styles, the songs on this album represent her best.

Her credits as a performer are also impressive, She toured with her Band Parc Cafe for several years, made several video clips, has performed with the Orchestra Philharmonic du Luxembourg as a soloist several times, (Notably for the coronation of Grand Duc Henri of Luxembourg), been part of the opening act for Patricia Kass and the Scorpions.
