Juan Romero embodies the role of musical cultural bridge: blending Latin and Afro-Uruguayan rhythmic heritage with the Scandinavian and global music scenes through both performance and education.

Present & Community Involvement
Romero currently resides in Stockholm and continues to teach, lead ensembles, record, perform and tour. He remains an active cultural force in both educational settings and the live music scene.
Juan balances freelance performance work with community-based teaching and artistic outreach, frequently collaborating with folk, jazz, world-music, and theatrical projects.
