Johnny Steele

I'm a drummer, composer, producer, and educator with a decade of experience performing live music of all genres. Throughout my musical life, I've had the fortune of performing, touring, and recording with many respected figures in the fields of rock/metal, jazz, RnB, Fusion and pop music. Such musicians include the likes of Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Printup, Gilbert Castellanos, Jon Faddis, Immanuel Wilkins, and Dan Nimmer. I have also had the good fortune of sharing the stage with The Contortionist, Monuments, and many more.

In addition to having an active playing schedule with such musicians, I also write my own blog entitled BEAT SPEAK. In this blog, I discuss my journey as a young musician in today's climate as well as topics such as music business, production, drum lessons, and the occasional shop-talk for my gear-head followers.

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors and accelerated Masters degrees at the Juilliard School in Manhattan, New York City.
