John Zuluaga

John grew up one of seven children just outside of NYC. His two older sisters started him with guitar, piano, banjo, oboe, sax and whatever other instrument their father found in a pawn shop or recovered from the junk yard.

It was 1982 when he started on bass. A stint in the Army put his serious playing on a temporary pause.

After leaving the Army, he earned a Masters Degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida. He resides in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania performing commercial, studio sessions, and as a regular sideman for numerous solo acts.
