Ivelin Drumev

Ivelin Drumev was born in Bourgas on 5 august 1983. He began with piano lessons at age of 6. 15 years old he started playing percussion instruments in Music School - ,,Pancho Vladigerov" Bourgas.Couple of years use to play accordeon, sing in choir and play in the school orchestra. In November 2000, Ivo was certificated in 3D Studio Max. He took part in many workshops and master classes and performed in several competitions among which National Competition charter drums instruments ,, Stara Zagora 1999" , excelent valuation, National Competition - "Pendim" drums instruments - Plovdiv 2001, National Competition drums instruments "Bourgas 2001" , valuation - first reward, VI International Youth Music Festival "Hopes Talents Masters" Dobrich - Albena 2001, Bulgaria, valuation - second reward. In 2002 speciality - sound producing, qualification tone operator. He continued his study in Rotterdam Music Conservatory with classical percussion instruments. Lately he was invited for DVD recording with Rotterdam Percussion Ansamble of "Pictures in an Exhibition" - Mussorgsky. Several years he use to teach a percussion orchester. Quickly the passion for improvising drawn him to the keyboard instruments and mainly vibraphone. Currently Ivo is student in Den Haag Royal Conservatory with main subject jazz-vibraphone and teacher Frits Landesbergen. Ivelin is borrowing musical ideas from all kind of artistic performances - concerts, theatres, recordings, movies, museums, exhibitions... influences of other arts that helps him to explore his own talent on the vibraphone.
