Gregg Young
He was granted former resident status of Alcatraz due to an overnight stay (to make music) during the Indian occupation. In 2018, Young released a solo steel string guitar album, Alcatraz, which was considered in 2 Categories for a Grammy in 2019 for "Best Roots Performance" & "Best Contemporary Instrumental Album".

The band has been nominated Best Jazz, Best Pop, Best Latin, and most recently Best Americana/Folk/Acoustic for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. In addition to these nominations, Gregg and the Band have won Best Blues, Best Funk/Groove for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, as well Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year for the LA Music Awards. The Second Street Band is a pool of approximately 40 world-class musicians and vocalists led by Gregg Young, singer, guitarist, ASCAP songwriter/publisher & NARAS Member.
