Greg Nielsen
Sarasota FL based Greg Nielsen plays a number of brass instruments, including trumpet, trombone and flugelhorn. He has performed with artists such as, Slide Hampton, Nancy Wilson, the Four Tops, Cab Calloway & Ramsey Lewis. He has also shared the stage with Nat Adderly, Al Cohn, Bobby Shew & many others. Locally, he performs with various big bands, small groups and with concert orchestras in the Tampa Bay area and Southwest Florida, backing many of the top jazz and pop performers.
In addition to performing, Nielsen has been music instructor at Booker Middle School, inspiring and cultivating young musicians for over 27 years. Source: Don Mopsick
