Galen

Galen is a singer, composer, and lyricist, was born in San Luis Obispo, California, and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Now back in Los Angeles making new music and new memories. Known for his pure tone and vocal acrobatics, Galen is both versatile and fresh in his approach to music. You can hear middle-eastern, jazz, gospel, and rock, among other influences in his style. Galen has sung on stage with jazz legends such as Kurt Elling, Bobby McFerrin, Chick Corea, Johnny Mathis, and Darmon Meader. He has also spent a great deal of time composing and arranging music for his band Compendium who's first album earned Galen three Downbeat Student Music Awards for best Pop/Rock Vocalist, Best Pop/Rock Group, and best Jazz arrangement for Galen's take on Stevie Wonder's "I Believe". Galen is always known for his solid live performances.
