Fergus Currie

Fergus was born in Edinburgh, He studied classical double bass at the RSAMD and Royal Academy of Music in London and has an MA in music research and composition from the University of Birmignham. He also studied jazz arranging with Nick Ingman at the Royal Academy of Music. He moved to Greece in 1991 where he works as an orchestral bassist in the Greek National Opera. He has arranged for and directed the Greek Radio Big Band, the Love Affair Big Band ( an independent band in Greece), and is scheduled to work with the Athens Big Band in 2026.
