The Primordial Jazz Funktet will celebrate the release of its first CD, We Are Here at Cachaa on Thursday, January 15 with sets at 7:30 and 9pm. The band is organized by pianist and composer, Dan Furman, and includes the popular hiphop artist Maya Azucena and jazz saxophonist Joel Frahm. Primordial Jazz Funktet began in Atlanta, GA and brought its blend of jazz, R&B and hiphop beats to New York in 2003. PJF plays funky soulful tunes that tell stories. ...
