Elizabeth Panzer
Not content to stay within the classical music genre, Elizabeth found herself drawn to the sound art and experimental music of the club and loft scene of New York City. Soon she was invited to join the ensembles of such jazz and experimental greats as Pauline Oliveros, Lawrence "Butch" Morris, Reggie Workman, and Anthony Braxton. Her discography and performing career includes collaborations with Reggie and Butch, as well as Bobby Previte, Judy Silvano, Kali Z. Fasteau, Paul Bley, and Gary Peacock.
As a soloist, Elizabeth has stayed true to her roots of contemporary classical music, performing works written for her by Eve Beglarian, Kitty Brazelton, Gustavo Matamoros, William Schimmel, Wendy Chambers, Richard Einhorn, and Eleanor Hovda. Her solo CD, Dancing in Place [o.o.discs #oo52] includes six pieces written for her, as well as three of her own compositions.
Elizabeth is currently completing a Masters of Science degree in Architectural Acoustics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she is studying harp acoustics.
