Dave Sherman

Best known as a member Elle King’s backing band “The Bretheren” since 2015, keyboardist, composer and songwriter Dave “Moose” Sherman has spent the last decade touring globally, helping shape the sound behind King’s raw and electrifying performances.  His individual resumé extends far beyond, having also been a member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Valerie June, Kevin Morby and Nicole Atkins bands.  The Bretheren’s first band release, “The Bretheren” will be out in Spring of 2026 and features lead vocal contributions from Elle King, Britt Daniel, Ben Bridwell, Hamilton Leithauser, Michael Shannon, Sharon Van Etten and Neil Finn.

Sherman has also been working on a musical adaptation of Walter Tevis’s “The Hustler” featuring his music and lyrics, book by Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner Brian Yorkey and direction by Tony winner Gregory Mosher.
