Audrey Powne

Vocalist, Trumpeter and Songwriter Audrey Powne is a prolific young musician and stalwart of Melbourne’s burgeoning jazz/soul scene who has turned her hand to many musical endeavours.

Audrey is known to audiences fronting sweet soul band Leisure Centre and her dynamic, genre defying, electro funk project Au Dré. Having recently re-located to New York, Audrey has spent the last 12 months working on her debut solo EP “Bed I Made” set for release in 2020 between her busy schedule as a session musician touring the US and Europe with Grammy nominated country soul band The Teskey Brothers.

Her prominence and renown as a performer on the Melbourne and International jazz/soul scene has seen her receive wide acclaim from the likes of Worldwide FM and BBC Radio 6 presenter and tastemaker Gilles Peterson who recently recorded her quartet for his record label Brownswood Recordings compilation record Sunny Side Up and legendary BBC radio presenter Tony Blackburn who said of her debut single Flowers “…Have a listen to this. What a song and what a voice.I love it.”
