Jazz From Heaven…Tony Adamo: Angel Bop Reviewed By Jazz Weekly
Source:
All About Jazz
Bay area vocalist Tony Adamo tells another jazz story in swinging Steinbeck fashion, this time from a heavenly viewpoint. Adamo sings out the role of a bebopping angel “in the heavens of my walk here on earth…digging on the new jazz”. With his late night dj of a voice, he’s backed by a mix of funk and snappy hip hop percussion’d grooves, coaxed on by guitar spicks by Chris Pimento that evokes tones from the cool strings of George Benson ...

Jazz Vocalist, Rebecca Angel, To Release "What We Had" On Timeless Grooves Records With Production By Grammy-Winner Jason Miles
Source:
Presto Public Relations Inc.
Four quick “s” adjectives come to mind when you first hear Rebecca Angel, making for some nice descriptive alliteration: smooth, soulful, sensual and sultry. Listening to her soulfully produced and exquisitely arranged debut What We Had, we can top that off with sexy and unabashedly sentimental as well. The emerging NYC based singer makes every emotionally compelling track an invitation – to dream, to love, to reminisce wistfully about beautiful times gone by which infuse every waking thought of today. ...

Source:
FlipswitchPR, LLC
Angel d'Cuba has never shied away from dropping everything he can into his music. A native Cuban, Angel came up in a rich musical melange where James Brown and Jackson 5 grooves mixed freely with red—hot Afro-Carribean traditions. And Angel never hesitated to add new flavors—funk, R&B, soca, samba, rock—to this eclectic sonic mix. Moving to Chicago further expanded Angel's musical palette, as he demonstrates on Heritage.
