Andreas Brade

Andreas has been a professional drummer for over 30 years. He performed in many different groups  and musical settings. He is known for his versatility, professionalism and open mind. He performed and recorded in many genres such as Jazz, African and  Afro-Caribbean music styles, Latin music,  electronica, singer/songwriters, Art Music and percussion ensembles. Andreas performed, toured with artist such as Lorrain Claasen, Balla Tounkara, Rubblebucket Orchestra, Tiga Jean Baptiste, Bakithi Kumalo, Emergency Group, The UnderGround Horns, Zamir Chorale, Mavis Pan, Mystic Bowie, The Jazz Composer Alliance, Clarence Thompson and the New Spirits and many more. These days Andreas embraces a lot of improvisational Music and you can hear him in many different settings. 

Andreas has been working also for over 20 years in the field of modern dance as accompanist, performer and composer with prestigious companies/schools such as Martha Graham School, Mark Morris Dance Center, Paul Taylor, Boston Ballet and Cornfield Dance. He performed in venues and festival such as the Montreal Jazz Fest, the Kennedy Center, Boston Symphnoy Hall, the Blue Note/NYC,  Apollo Cafe, NJPAC, Museum of Fine Arts, the British  Museum at Yale and many International Festivals.  

Next to being a graduate from Berklee College of Music, Andreas holds a Masters of Music in Modern American Music/Performance from Long School of Music of Bard College
