About Me
My Jazz Story
I was first exposed to jazz when I was three or four, and my parents gave me Nat King Cole Trio’s “The Three Trees.” I played the record (and danced along) so often, the grooves wore out they had to buy me a new one. In the evenings, my parents (and on weekends, their friends) partied danced to the era’s great Big Bands—Ellington, Basie, Goodman, Glen Miller, and I’d sneak out of bed and dance on the stairs, or sometimes with them. Marvelous.
