I am a jazz vocalist and a voice teacher in the Plano area.

About Me

Susan Hanlon is a jazz vocalist and voice teacher in the Plano area. She maintains a large private studio in addition to holding the position of Associate Professor of Commercial Voice at Collin College. Susan attended The University of North Texas where she received her B.A. and M.A. in Voice and had the pleasure of singing with UNT Jazz Singers. After concentrating on her teaching career for the past 8 years, Susan has decided to start performing once again and is excited to release her debut album “Lovely Ride” in November 2013.

My Jazz Story

I was introduced to jazz in highschool and haven't left it since. I have been lucky to see many wonderful musicians share their artistry and their stories. I love listening to Shirley Horn, Carmen Mcrae, Kurt Elling, Kitty Margolis, Nancy King and many more singers and I enjoy Fred Hersch, EST, Snarky Puppy and always love discovering new and old gems.
