About Me
My Jazz Story
I was exposed to the Great American Songbook at a young age when I began listening to my parents' records from Frank Sinatra, Harry Belafonte, Johnny Mathis and many more.
Then a friend gave me Linda Ronstadt's album, "What's New," with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. I could sing along easily with her and I was hooked! Later in high school and
college, I had the privilege of working as an usher at the Hollywood Bowl during the summer season. It was the most amazing job and through it I was introduced to all kinds of
music, but jazz is what touched me the most. Seeing all of the greats there - Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Rosemary Clooney, Cab Calloway, Sergio Mendes, the Count Basie
Orchestra - was simply mind-blowing. So began my incredible musical journey that led me to where I am now, a jazz vocalist specializing in songs from the Great American
Songbook, Latin Jazz/Bossa Nova, Blues and World Music. I've had the good fortune to work and record with the many of the best jazz musicians in the business and I'm pleased to
announce that my debut album, Sooner or Later, will be released on August 2nd.
