About Me
In 2017, produced The Charleston
Opera in a fully staged production
of La Boheme, author of The Jazz
Corner Story, a book which
includes two live CDs and
HowJazzWorks.com.
In 2018, produced a jazz
trio and Charlotte string quartet in
Beethoven's 5th symphony,
Barber's Adagio for strings and
Vivaldi Four Seasons and in 2019,
produced the Duke Ellington
score of Greig's Peer Gynt Suite,
and new scores of Ravel's Bolero
and Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries
played together by jazz and
classical musicians from Atlanta.
Jazz, and all music, should be
heard live. The white heat of live
performance generates the best
music.
Born in London, now lives in Nice,
France and Hilton Head, SC,
traveling Europe and its jazz
festivals in summer and
hibernating in The South through
the winter.
My Jazz Story
