About Me
Kim Maguire has been a professional performer, educator, director, and producer for the past 30 years. A 2017 Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist finalist, Kim is a mainstay in the vocal Seattle jazz scene. Her performance style walks the line between jazz and cabaret. Kim’s vocal background allows her to move effortlessly from jazz to musical theatre, as well as folk and singer-song writer genres. She is often found at the piano accompanying herself on tunes from the songbooks of contemporaries such as Joni Mitchell and Eva Cassidy. Kim has been seen on many regional and local stages including Houston Grand Opera, Fifth Ave. Theatre, Benaroya Hall, Village Theatre and Town Hall. A regular at the MQ Lounge at The Triple Door, Kim has also sung at Seattle Jazz Vesper’s Tula's, Egan's Jam House in Ballard, North City Bistro, Boxley’s, Hotel Sorrento, Jackson Street Jazzwalk, Vito's, and Frederick Holmes “Hot Jazz in the Gallery” series.
My House Concert Story
I have hosted house and garden concerts since 2021 and had such a wonderful time sharing music and creating community. It's so very meaningful to share everything from music to personal stories in this type of venue. We all feel the music and more importantly, our humanity. I am a cross-over singer, meaning I sing jazz, cabaret and more. House concerts are such a great platform to share all of it!
