Ed Barrett

Ed Barrett is a critically acclaimed jazz guitarist living in the New Orleans area.

About Me

I began my life in music with piano studies at the age of six, then progressed to the French Horn which I played till High School graduation. I began playing guitar in 1985 and jazz guitar in '88. I have a bachelor's in guitar performance from Berklee, and a Master's in Jazz Studies from The University of New Orleans. I perform three to five times a week around New Orleans and the area, solo guitar, trio and quartets, in several flavors of jazz. I currently have two CD's as a leader and have two more to be released in 2011.
