Bio
Born in İstanbul in 1988. Accepted to the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 1997 first place. Started the soloist career at an early age and gave a lot of recitals. In 2006 in Berlin Konzerthaus which belongs to the Berlin Philharmonic concert hall, had a very moving performance in “Young Euro Classic” which inspires a lot of new artists every year and represented his own country. Baris Dogukan Yazici has studied at Berklee College of Music who has won the Al Natale Jazz Competition in 2019. In 2009, he gave a very successful closing concert in Dolce Brass Quintet at Thasos Island Ancient Theatre within the “International Kavala Music Festival”. Yazici has finished university with an honorary degree and won the audition for Istanbul State Opera and Ballet and has started his professional career. He has done a tour with New York’s world-known “La Excelencia” in Europe and did concerts in much famous jazz and Latin festivals in 2012. He has shared a stage with many great jazz musicians; Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, Marcus Miller, Joshua Redman, Roberta Gambarini, Kurt Elling, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Allan Harris, Kandace Springs, Issac Delgado, Alain Perez. He has played solo trumpet at Hugh Jackman's fantastic musical called “ An Evening with Hugh Jackman” and also performed as solo trumpet at “ The Original Rat Pack and “ La La Land In Concert”.
