My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz through the movie "Round Midnight" but even before through the likes of Zappa & Beefheart which made me discover the genre from the "end" to the "beginning" ... from Free Jazz towards Louis Armstrong. I briefly met Lee Konitz, Connie Crothers, Ravi Coltrane. The best jazz-shows I ever attended were Wayne Shorter Quartet and Ornette Coleman. The first jazz records I bought were Kind Of Blue and A Love Supreme. My advice to new listeners: open your mind, the rest will follow.
