I have always loved Big Band American Swing Jazz. I got hooked on it when I was a school band member in secondary school. Listening to Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller I began to appreciate the inter-play of melodies and counter melodies that gives this type of jazz and all the other forms its smoothness. Anyway, big band music was a portal to all things Jazz and eventually in my twenties, I sang Sinatra songs accompanied by big band "minus-one" tracks at weddings. That was fun. Would love to reconnect with this genre of Jazz again through this platform and with a jazz community here in Singapore.
