Publicist's Guide To All About Jazz
All About Jazz and Jazz Near You provide publicists with a connected set of tools to manage client information, share news, request editorial coverage, promote recordings and performances, and track published coverage.
Whether you represent musicians, record labels, venues or festivals, this guide will help you make the most of our free resources and optional promotional services.
Establish Your Presence
Start by creating or claiming your free publicity firm page. Your page provides a professional presence within All About Jazz and Jazz Near You, bringing together your business information, contact details, website links, published announcements and client coverage.
Your firm may already appear in our Publicity Firm Directory. Search for your business first and claim its existing page. If it isn't listed, you can create a new page.
For an example, visit the Terri Hinte publicity firm page.
As a publicist, you can also help maintain your clients' pages using your own All About Jazz member account. There's no need to create a separate login for each musician or organization you represent.

Keeping track of published articles, reviews, interviews and announcements is an important part of representing your clients. All About Jazz provides resources to help publicists locate and monitor relevant coverage.
Visit Tracking Client Coverage at All About Jazz for guidance on following your clients' activity across the platform.
A Word About Editorial Independence
All About Jazz maintains a clear distinction between editorial coverage and paid promotional services. Our contributors independently determine what they cover based on their musical interests, editorial judgment and availability.
We do not charge for album reviews, and purchasing advertising or promotional services does not influence editorial decisions or guarantee coverage.
We encourage publicists to use our free tools, explore our promotional options where appropriate, and approach contributors with relevant, well-prepared requests.
