My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz as a pre-teen listening to my uncle play sax. At age 12 my 14 year old cousin and I got into Bakers Keyboard lounge in Detroit. I don't remember how. We were under age (duh) and the only 2 whites I remember seeing that night. The room was smoke filled and I was entranced by the upright bassist.
