My Jazz Story

I love jazz because of how smooth, subtle, romantic and emotional it can be. Jazz allows me to feel emotions I was afraid to feel before. I was first exposed to jazz at age 15 listening to Kenny G, then at age 21 with Boney James and Dave Koz. I met these musicians: Kurt Elling, Brian Bromberg, Chris Standring, Keith Andrew, Brian Culbertson, Joe Bagale, Sachal Vasandani, Spencer Day, Steve Tyrell, Warren Hill, Peter White, Brian Bromberg, Chris Botti & Euge Groove to name a few. For me, the best show I ever attended was Kurt Elling at Kumumbwa Jazz Club in Santa Cruz on 12/13/21. I've been a fan of Kurt's since 2010 and he has always been an amazing singer/songwriter and one of the best storytellers in jazz. That show was fantastic and very inspirational. He is also a very nice person to talk to. I'm extremely picky about singers. Some of the musicians I haven't seen live or have met, but want to are: Matt Belsante, Steven Santoro & Slim Man to name a few. I'm a quiet soul who also writes poems and stories, watches sunsets over the ocean and does math puzzles as a hobby and my favorite TV shows are: Sherlock, Red Dwarf & Doctor Who.
