Jeremy Osterling

About Me

Jeremy Osterling was born in Cromwell, CT in 1983. He began playing saxophone at the age of 7. When he was a teenager he pursued music and joined a community band that traveled to perform at various places around the United States such as: Washington D.C., The Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, Lincoln Center, The River Boat Nachez (New Orleans), and the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans.

Jeremy attended Western Connecticut State University for Music Education where he excelled in educational methodology and performance ensembles of various genres of music. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education in 2005. He became a public school teacher and started teaching in Wethersfield. He currently is an elementary music teacher in Hartford, CT.

Jeremy has been blessed to have experienced and performed with such musicians as: Bob Berg, Christian McBride, Buster Williams, Don Braden and Terrell Statfford while in college. He studied composition/arranging privately with his grandfather, Eric Osterling and with Walter Gwardyak. The passion and energy that radiates from these players is like nothing else.
