Michael Lydon started out as a writer about pop music, was a founding editor of Rolling Stone and wrote Ray Charles: Man and Music, the definitive biography of the Genius. Inspired by those he wrote about (the Beatles, Stones, Aretha, and many more, Lydon began playing his own music, often with his partner, Ellen Mandel. He lives in NYC and plays regularly all around Manhattan
