This year the JAZZAlive University of the District has seven exciting events scheduled for April! A variety of events including concerts, film screenings, student recitals lead up to the final event: the Calvin Jones BIG BAND Jazz Festival. For 24 years the festival featured the big bands of three area universities: 1) University of the District of Columbia (dir. Allyn Johnson) 2) Howard University (dir.
