About this image

Duke Bojadziev (a.k.a. Duke B) is a New York City-based, music composer, producer, and pianist. He was born and raised in Macedonia, where he began playing the piano at the age of three. Taking after his father—who balanced successful careers in both music and medicine—Duke earned his medical degree while simultaneously cultivating his passion for music. Deciding to pursue music as a full time career he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. Upon graduating in 2001, Duke moved to NYC and jumpstarted his trajectory as a celebrated music composer for motion pictures. Among his credentials are working alongside oscar-winning film directors Jonathan Demme and Danis Tanovic, as well as oscar-nominee Stole Popov. His musical influence spread quickly across diverse domains—from global advertising campaigns (like Peugeot, Mercedes, L’Oréal, Lancôme and Anna Sui), to multimedia/web ventures (such as FontaineBleau Hotels, Vanity Fair, GE, and Cosmopolitan), to TV shows (among them Martha Stewart and Guiding Light). Duke has released 7 albums, and had his music featured on world-renowned CD compilations such as Buddha Bar XIV, Chill Out In Paris, and Marrakech Express 2. He has produced remixes for both Cyndi Lauper and the Blue Man Group, and honed his inventive style through performances with various ensembles at NYC’s Carnegie Hall, Highline Ballroom, Cipriani Ballroom, The Box, and Drom; Art Basel in Miami, The Avalon Theater in Los Angeles and Ohrid’s Summer Festival. Duke has forged successful partnership with artists including TelepopMusik, Angela McCluskey, Paul Cantelon, The Citizens Band, Macedonian Philharmonics, Ara Dinkjian, Ian Buchanan, Paul Cantelon, Sussan Deyhim and many more. These experiences have culminated in Duke’s career as a musician equally versatile in orchestral and electronic music, an artist innovatively breaking the boundaries of his field, and a collaborator passionately sharing and creating fresh ideas. These distinct facts of Duke’s personality are intimately and inextricably linked, resulting in a musical repertoire that has reached audiences around the world, transmitting a common message of love, peace, and unity.
