Following our official invitations from the Hong Kong Jazz Association (Director: Peter Lee) & Malaysia Penang Island International Jazz Festival (Director: Paul Augustin), the Estudiantina Ensemble received subsidy for the voyage from the “Fonds Podiumkunsten Performing Arts Fund Nederland”. The Estudiantina Ensemble enjoys great fame in the east and made a great tour through the southern part of China & Penang Island, Malaysia. The Estudiantina Ensemble gave workshops and played a list of various prestigious Jazz Festivals & Theatres include, “B10 OCT-Loft Theatre, Shenzhen”, “C:Union Club, Guangzhou”, “Club Azur, Zhuhai”, “Penang Island International Jazz Festival, (9th edition)”.
