With the recent release of Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics and the upcoming release of Beyonce's B'Day, it's clear that the horn section is making a major comeback. Both feature horns in prominent roles, which shows that the musical tide is turning back toward the soulful sound of real instruments.
The Movement Horns are leading the resurgence of this sound in today's music. The group consists of four talented musicians: Ray Monteiro on Trumpet, Miguel Gandelman and Randy Ellis on Saxophone, and Garrett Smith on Trombone.
Their resume is almost as amazing as their musical talent. They've worked in genres ranging from hip hop to classical to country. Through collaborations with musical legends including Prince, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker and Babyface they've lent their unique sound to many tracks and major concerts.
The Movement Horns have recently worked with pop superstars such as Nelly, P. Diddy and the Black Eyed Peas, as well as household names like Queen Latifah.
