JUNE 10 at SULLIVAN HALL in NEW YORK CITY
To Benefit Longtime Ropeadope Producer Scotty Hard
The Ropeadope 10th Anniversary Celebration touches down Wednesday, June 10 in the land where it all began, New York City, for an old school improv-mash-up at Sullivan Hall. The house band for the evening defines the label's exquisite aesthetic over the last decade:
JOHN ELLIS - horns
CHARLIE HUNTER - guitars
BILLY MARTIN - drums
DJ LOGIC - turntables
Plus many more special guests
It's all a benefit for longtime Ropeadope producer Scotty Hard who's in the process of getting his career back in gear after being paralyzed in a car accident last year. His new studio is up and running and all proceeds from the performance will help him keep the dream alive.
Part of an ongoing series of events throughout 2009 that celebrates ROPEADOPE's 10th anniversary, the Sullivan Hall gathering promises to be an unforgettable night of music brought to life by the improvisational spirit that drives ROPEADOPE to this day.
