Rob Fletcher

Rob Fletcher performs jazz, blues and vintage pop throughout New England. An exceptional vocalist, chromatic harmonica player and guitarist, he performed original music at Woodstock ’94 (350,000 attendees), the International Festival of Arts and Ideas, the Hudson Valley Jazz Festival, the National Harmonica Festival (SPAH), Garden State Harmonica Festival, Buckeye Harmonica Festival, Virginia Harmonica Festival, the National Guitar Workshop and at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville. Rob has performed with Trey Anastasio of Phish and opened for the Crash Test Dummies. The New York Times has described his original music as “soulful to funny”.

Rob is the author of several music instructional books including Blues Grooves for Guitarists and Blues Harmonica for Beginners (Alfred Publications). He transcribed two harmonica albums in their entirety – Kim Wilson: My Blues and Charlie McCoy Gospel Harmonica (published by Kevin’s Harps). He was a master teacher at the National Guitar Workshop for over a decade, teaching guitar, harmonica, voice and songwriting. He co-taught with two-time Grammy Award nominated (and Blues Music Award winning) blues guitarist Ronnie Earl in large (50+) student settings, as well as co-teaching with Juno award-winning blues guitarist Sue Foley.

Rob Fletcher is also the founder of Quixote Consulting, a corporate team building company that incorporates the power of music to create effective teams. A seasoned public speaker, Rob has traveled to almost every continent on earth, helping motivate over half a million people in the corporate and non-profit sectors with his friendly, positive, upbeat music and message.

Rob currently studies with four-time Grammy-nominated vocalist Karrin Allyson as well as Eugene Uman, the Director of the Vermont Jazz Center. He recently studied with National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Sheila Jordan and vocalist Jay Clayton. He has previously studied with jazz guitar greats John Scofield, John Abercrombie, Mick Goodrick and Ralph Towner. Rob has a degree in jazz guitar performance from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

He performs with Toast of the Town Jazz, Fly Me to the Moon: The Sinatra Sound, Shag(a male-female vocal harmony vintage pop band), Harmaniacs harmonica trio (lead, chord and bass harmonicas!), and a variety of jazz, blues and R&B bands up and down the east coast.
